On June 21, 2023, Senior Partner, Bret Sanders, and Senior Counsel John Plumlee obtain Summary Judgment in favor of trucking client in Travis County. Plaintiff, the Estate, alleged that Defendant’s driver was reckless in a severe winter storm and that the tractor-trailer was driving too slowly, and/or was stopped and failed to place emergency/hazard triangles on the roadway, causing the death of the driver and the passenger. Defendants argued that Plaintiffs, the decedents, were intoxicated, tested positive for illegal substances, and were not paying attention at the time.
