Rodney Geer is a dedicated lawyer with extensive experience in handling trials and appeals in a variety of cases. He has represented clients in both federal and state court trials as well as arbitration proceedings, with a focus on the areas of construction defect litigation, employment discrimination and premises liability litigation. Mr. Geer’s legal career also includes serving as general counsel for a Texas-based construction company, where he worked with regulatory agencies in the licensing and operation of commercial facilities and ensuring compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
Mr. Geer grew up in the construction industry and has been able to effectively utilize specialized knowledge and experience to represent various construction trades in litigation. He clearly understands the scope of work performed by contractors, and possesses knowledge of the day-to-day concerns faced by contractors involving relationships with general contractors and subcontractors.
Mr. Geer has appellate experience in both federal and state appellate courts, where he has successfully argued appeals in front of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and State Appellate Courts. His appellate work has resulted in several published opinions.
Mr. Geer has presented seminars on issues pertaining to construction defect litigation and insurance coverage issues. In 2016, he was named by D Magazine to their list of Best Lawyers in Dallas (Construction Law), as voted by his legal peers.
