EXPERIENCE

Mark Symms is a Texas-based civil litigator whose practice centers on complex defense matters in both federal and state courts. He represents clients across a broad range of disputes, including construction defect litigation, premises liability, and catastrophic personal injury cases. Mark also brings focused experience in oil and gas law, handling Operating Agreement disputes and advising clients on mineral interest matters.

Mark is known for his trial-tested approach and practical counsel. He has secured significant wins for clients at both trial and appellate levels, including a $6 million verdict in a multi-party oil and gas dispute and a published appellate victory addressing key Fourth Amendment issues. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Austin Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas and the Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas. Before returning to full-time litigation practice, Mark served as a commercial airline pilot; an experience that shaped his approach to high-stakes decision-making and his instinct for staying composed when the pressure is on.
