About Ashley

EXPERIENCE

Ashley Snell Smith is a partner whose practice primarily focuses on commercial automobile, premises liability, and construction accident cases involving personal injuries, property damage, and wrongful death. Specifically, Ms. Smith has experience defending long-haul truck drivers and trucking companies in cases involving compliance with both DOT and FMCSA regulations, as well as property owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in a wide range of premises liability and construction defect claims.

On behalf of her clients, Ms. Smith has successfully argued and obtained a summary judgment dismissing all claims with prejudice, attended multiple mediations leading to favorable settlements, argued and obtained favorable Court rulings on discovery and pre-trial matters, and deposed expert and fact witnesses over a wide range of topics.

Prior to defending cases on behalf of clients, Ms. Smith worked for a personal injury firm where she represented clients involved in motor vehicle accidents and contract disputes. While there, Ms. Smith successfully litigated several multi-million dollar ERISA claims brought on behalf of ambulatory surgical centers within in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
