Zaid Husain is a highly skilled civil litigator with extensive experience representing both commercial entities and individual clients in a broad spectrum of complex and high-exposure legal matters. Known for his strategic judgment and rigorous advocacy, Zaid brings seasoned courtroom experience to his practice, including having served as first chair in multiple jury trials to verdict. His litigation work extends beyond the trial courts , as Zaid has successfully obtained mandamus relief from the Texas Supreme Court, underscoring his ability to advocate effectively in high-stakes appellate proceedings. He delivers focused, results-driven representation to clients across local and national markets.
Zaid earned his Bachelor’s degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2014. During law school, Zaid distinguished himself both academically and competitively. He served as an officer on the Board of Advocates, was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society, and competed on South Texas’s nationally acclaimed moot court and mock trial teams, where he was recognized as a Top 3 Oralist at the National Health Law Moot Court Tournament. Before law school, he gained valuable governmental experience working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and later served as Finance Director for a Texas House of Representatives campaign. Prior to his undergraduate studies, he graduated from the prestigious Culver Military Academy.
In addition to his practice, Zaid serves as an Adjunct Professor at South Texas College of Law Houston, where he gives back as one of the coaches to the school’s top-ranked Moot Court Program. Zaid coached his team to South Texas’ 132nd National Championship.
Zaid’s practice encompasses a wide range of civil litigation matters, including negligence, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, premises liability, and premises security claims.
