Victor Rivera has more than 17 years of experience representing clients across Texas, in both state and federal courts, and maintains a diverse litigation practice with an emphasis on insurance coverage, personal injury, transportation liability, labor & employment, government & municipal defense, and family law & high net worth divorces. Mr. Rivera has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2012. Mr. Rivera is also a certified mediator (civil and family law) and a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Mr. Rivera is also fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining FS&S, Mr. Rivera was a Complex Litigation Trial Attorney Manager for a personal injury law firm and was responsible for a team of attorneys. Mr. Rivera has also had the privilege of serving as the HR Director and Legal Counsel for a fuel transportation company where he protected the company on all fronts. In the past, he’s owned his own law firm and currently owns a small business which has provided him with valuable experience in all aspects of business operations and he uniquely understands navigating through the difficult challenges, financial and otherwise, that business owners face when a legal dispute arises.
Mr. Rivera’s commitment to helping others began at an early age. Mr. Rivera proudly served in the U.S. Army, and after his military service, he joined the Fort Worth Police Department. He left the police department to pursue a legal career so that he could protect people where many feel truly helpless, within the courtroom. Mr. Rivera draws on his considerable experience to assess the key legal issues presented in each matter early on, followed by a focused approach to meet the objectives of the client in an efficient and effective manner.
Mr. Rivera is happily married to his best friend, who he met in law school, and they have two children and five dogs. Mr. Rivera enjoys playing basketball and softball, as well as trying new restaurants. Mr. Rivera also volunteers within his community and at his church.
