About Tara
EXPERIENCE
Tara L. Mason is originally from Winter Park, Florida. She is a graduate of Georgia Tech and LSU Law School. After practicing law in Louisiana for almost 19 years, she relocated to Houston, Texas in 2015 and is now proud to call Houston home! She holds licenses to practice law in Louisiana and Texas.
Mrs. Mason is most passionate about telling the stories of her clients in such a compelling way that her clients’ stories are ultimately heard and receive the most favorable treatment available to them under the law. Mastering the art of persuasion allowed Mrs. Mason to be inducted into LSU Law School’s Hall of Fame as a Tullis Moot Court winner.
Following her passion, throughout her career, Mrs. Mason has represented and told the stories of her clients through all aspects of litigation, as well as represented them in commercial business transactions.
For her clients, Mrs. Mason partners with her clients to keep them informed at every stage of litigation regarding any factual and/or statutory limitations that will impact their bottom line. This allows her clients to make the best decisions regarding their respective cases, which are consistent with their short and long term goals. Having worked as outside counsel and as an in-house, staff attorney for a major insurance company, Mrs. Mason understands the importance of maintaining a strategic partnership with her clients by providing timely and thorough information regarding their cases. For her, this partnership is crucial to maintaining strong attorney-client relationships that she values, because that is what her clients value.

- Successfully maintained a favorable Motion for Summary Judgment ruling for insured client on an appeal, which involved a premises liability dispute
- Successfully maintained a favorable Motion for Summary Judgment ruling for commercial client on an appeal, which involved a disputed employer-employee relationship
- Successfully defended insurers on multiple Motions for Summary Judgment regarding wind versus water residential and commercial property damage claims resulting from hurricane catastrophic loss
