About Patrick

EXPERIENCE

Mr. Wiggins is an associate attorney in the firm’s Dallas Office. He has an extensive background in litigation including insurance defense, commercial litigation, trucking and transportation, premises liability, as well as transactional matters. He has successfully argued motions in court, negotiated difficult settlements through alternative dispute resolution, and taken matters to trial.

Mr. Wiggins earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining the firm, he completed a judicial clerkship with Louisiana’s 26th Judicial District Court and practiced for several years in Shreveport, Louisiana. He received his Texas law license in 2022 and made the move to Dallas.

Mr. Wiggins is an active member of the Coastal Conservation Association, having served several years on the Shreveport Chapter Committee. In his spare time, he enjoys spoiling his Goldendoodle “Louie” and working on his high-digit golf handicap. His Fall Saturdays are devoted to LSU football.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Beverly Garland v. Beaubouef Company, L.L.C., et al. (42nd Judicial District Court, DeSoto Parish, Louisiana) – Obtained Judgment granting Motion for Summary Judgment in favor of Defendants in a motor vehicle collision with a cow owned by Defendant cattle rancher. Decision was later affirmed by the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal.
  • Curley Jefferson v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (First Judicial District Court, Caddo Parish, Louisiana) – Obtained Judgment dismissing all of Plaintiff’s claims for bad faith against State Farm as UM/UIM carrier. The decision was later affirmed by the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal with writs denied by the Louisiana Supreme Court.
  • Cynthia Gray v. Andrea Barr-Ambler, et al (Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal) – Successfully defended Appeal by Plaintiff against District Court’s dismissal of 3rd party bad faith, property damage claim, with the Appellate Court issuing an Opinion affirming the ruling.
