Marcela A. Amaro is an Associate at FS&S and practices primarily in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, premise liability, transportation liability, and other civil litigation matters. Marcela is an honors graduate from UNT Dallas College of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
While studying at UNT Dallas College of Law, Marcela was a Staff Editor for one of the school’s two Law Review Journals, Accessible Law, and served as the Director of Technology. She was a member of the Board of Advocates and competed in numerous statewide and national competitions with the school’s Intermural Mock Trial Team. In her second year of law school, she worked as a Summer Associate at FS&S and as a student attorney at the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas Community Lawyering Center.
Marcela was selected for membership into the Order of the Barristers for her excellence in trial advocacy. She is also a member of the Royal Ferguson Inn of Phi Delta Phi and served on the Executive Board of the Hispanic Law Students Association while in school.
Marcela was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas and is fluent in Spanish. Outside of work she enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
