About Laura

EXPERIENCE

Laura was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is a native Spanish-speaker. She grew up in South Texas and became a naturalized U.S. Citizen in the 90’s. After graduating law school in 2002, Laura began her career as a Social Security disability lawyer and became board-certified in 2010. In those 19 years of practice, she attended hundreds of administrative law hearings a year and represented claimants in filing their appeals within the Social Security Administration and in federal court. She was also a policy advocate, traveling to Washington, D.C. every two years and meeting with U.S. Senators and Congressmen to discuss important issues affecting the Social Security Disability program. In July 2022, Laura took her experience and advocacy skills to the practice of insurance defense. She found the transition fascinating and rewarding. In her personal time, Laura enjoys traveling, creating art, spending time with her family and friends, and attending live music.
