Ms. Jacques is an Associate in the Austin office. She practices primarily in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, transportation liability, and other general liability matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Jacques practiced in Houston representing commercial and non-commercial clients in myriad of civil litigation disputes including third-party and UM/UIM motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, bad-faith insurance claims, contract disputes, coverage opinions, DTPA disputes, premises and products liability. and construction defect. She also facilitated mediations for the Harris County Justice Courts through the Dispute Resolution Center after completing the certified mediation training at South Texas College of Law Houston.
Ms. Jacques earned a B.A in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans; a M.A in Counseling from California State University at Dominguez Hills; a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from Georgia State University, and her J.D. from South Texas College of Law.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Ms. Jacques’s career was in education, primarily at the postsecondary level, where she held various positions including Counselor, Director, Dean of Students, and Vice President of Student Affairs.
