About James
EXPERIENCE
James Harvey was born and raised in east Texas. He joined Fee Smith & Sharp as an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Dallas Office in 2024. He has an extensive background in various types of litigation, including first party and third-party insurance litigation, premises liability, personal injury, and transportation litigation. He has argued successfully before the Court regarding various and complex motions, hearings, and at trial.
Prior to joining Fee Smith & Sharp, James practiced in Colorado with Ross-Shannon & Proctor, P.C. He handled cases in a variety of stages from pre-litigation matters, including as handling assessing liability and settlement negotiations, to all aspects of litigation from the initial pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation and through to trial and post-judgment proceedings.
James received his B.A. in English from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in 2011 and his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma- College of Law in 2021. James currently lives in Dallas with his wife, Michelle, and enjoys reading, music, traveling, jogging, and various outdoor activities.
