EXPERIENCE

Ashley Thomas is a Senior Associate in the Houston office of Fee, Smith & Sharp. Ms. Thomas’ practice focuses on insurance defense and civil litigation, including personal injury and trucking litigation matters. She represents clients throughout the litigation process and works to develop thoughtful, efficient strategies tailored to each client’s objectives.

Ashley’s background in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution strengthens her ability to assess complex matters, anticipate competing interests, and develop effective litigation strategies. She earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she served as president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Advocates and competed in negotiation and mediation competitions at the national level. Her advocacy teams earned first place in the ABA Regional Negotiation Competition, advanced as regional finalists in the ABA National Negotiation Competition, and received first-place honors for Best Client/Advocate at the International Law School Mediation Tournament.

Before law school, Ashley attended Texas A&M University, where she earned a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Philosophy and graduated cum laude through the Honors Program. While at Texas A&M, she worked for the Department of Disability Services, an experience that strengthened her appreciation for accessibility, attentive communication, and understanding each person’s individual needs. Those lessons continue to shape her client-centered approach to legal representation.
