Gregory M. Lowry
Senior Associate

Mr. Lowry represents companies and individuals in commercial, construction, insurance, products liability and general liability matters in Texas state and federal courts. His diverse experience includes representing contractors at the trials of construction defect and payment disputes; representing a premises owner in the trial of a catastrophic 18-wheeler-pedestrian accident; and appeals involving medical implants, professional liability, and breach of contract issues. He currently serves as outside counsel for a general contractor in its nationwide construction operations, and he has served on the national counsel teams for various manufacturers of medical devices and industrial products.

He has been recognized multiple times as a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine.

Mr. Lowry is active in the Austin community, and serves on the organizing committees for both the Austin Young Lawyers Association Women's Resource Fair and the Austin Bar Association's People's Law School. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas, and is involved with the South Austin Business Council. He is also an active player in the Austin Men's Soccer Association.

Representative Matters:
Served as first chair trial counsel in two breach of contract lawsuits filed against a general contractor and secured favorable verdicts in each case.

Represents builders, subcontractors and owners in construction disputes involving defects, breach of contract claims, mechanic's and materialman's liens and payment disputes.

Served as appellate counsel for a Fortune 500 company in federal appeals of a breach of contract lawsuit.

Represented a national corporation in the defense of an unsuccessful appeal by a plaintiff who alleged injuries resulting from a defective human tissue implant.

Handles all litigation, corporate and regulatory matters as outside counsel for a food products manufacturer.

Advised and prepared insurance coverage opinions for a national corporation in a multi-million dollar dispute with its excess insurance carrier regarding the corporation's duty to cooperate with the excess carrier's decisions regarding settlement of a third-party claim.
