John received his J.D. in 2008 from The University of Alabama School of Law, where he was a Senior Editor for the Law and Psychology Review. While at Alabama, John wrote an award-winning paper in Corporate Finance and Consumer Protection, was elected SGA Senator for the Law School, acted as a certified legal intern for the Elder Law Clinic and was a member of the Farrah Law Society.

A native of Abbeville, Alabama, John graduated from The University of Alabama cum laude in 2005 with a B.A. in political science with minors in business administration and the University Honors Program. He was President of Sigma Nu fraternity, vice-president of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, a Presidential Scholar and a member of Jason's Society.
