Wes Black has practiced in state
and federal courts, at both
the trial and appellate levels.
While the dominant portion of his practice involves appellate litigation,
Mr. Black has represented clients
at the trial court level in
a number of contexts, including antitrust/unfair
competition, insurance
coverage disputes, products
liability, intellectual property
disputes, insurance “bad
faith” litigation, mass tort litigation,
construction litigation, health
care litigation, and consumer
protection.
Mr. Black is a 1995 graduate of the University of Texas
and
a 1999 graduate of Baylor
Law School, where he served as an editor of the Baylor Law Review,
served on
the TYLA Moot Court Team, and
received a number of academic
and advocacy awards. Upon
graduation, he served as a briefing attorney
for Chief
Justice Rex Davis of the Court
of Appeals for the Tenth
Judicial District at Waco. Mr. Black is licensed to practice before
the
United
States District Courts for
the Northern and Eastern Districts
of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit
Court of Appeals.
